Lion King Orphanage Bali Foundation
Lion King Bali Foundation is a foundation that focuses on helping the poorest and defenseless in Indonesia. Among other things, she manages an orphanage in Singaraja on Bali, which now houses 42 orphans and street children who are lovingly cared for by Marinka and Frankie Portier (founders of the project), who go to school and receive food and care.
The point of departure for the aid is not to make people dependent on the aid, but rather to ensure that the institutions such as the children’s home can be run by local people and that the children are given the opportunity to shape their own future through education. going to provide.

Dear Bos family, employees & friends,
Lion King Bali is very happy with the fantastic Helderse gift from the Bos family, Hotel Wienerhof, Hotel Den Helder and all the generous donors. Attached is a ‘thank you photo’ of a group of our children (including students who were not present). We are very pleased that our own home port started with Lion King. Everything but average food gets more expensive in Bali. We are therefore always happy with your loyal help that we can receive again. All is well with the kids, staff & us. We hope all is well with you too.
I (Marinka) keep a close eye on the Helderse media and saw in the Helders Weekblad (which can also be found online), that a Bridge fundraising campaign for Lion King Bali is planned for the end of February. It’s fantastic that everyone and also heart cooperate and that Lion King is mentioned in the local media. We are very grateful for your loyal commitment to our orphans.
From the twentieth of May we will be back in Den Helder and out there. We hope to see everyone again and to talk to you during a warm bite at the family table 😉 Nice shopping at the Hema (V&D is no longer there), a nice walk on the Helderse beach and the dike with a cool breeze are things that we miss a lot.
